Sylvia Sorgel is President and founder of Sorgel Consulting LLC. Sorgel Consulting LLC provides expert assistance in process improvement for customer communications to higher education and healthcare. Ms. Sorgel has over 27 years experience assisting institutional clients, including extensive experience in developing successful inbound and outbound calling campaigns. Prior to forming Sorgel Consulting LLC, Ms. Sorgel was Vice President-Sales of CMD Outsourcing Solutions, Inc. Engagements included developing outbound calling campaigns for institutional clients to assist them with proactively reaching their customer population and tracking results through detailed management reporting. Additionally, Ms. Sorgel was a lead facilitator in the creation of an outsourced inbound Student Financial Services office. Before joining CMD in 1999, Ms. Sorgel was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Compass Receivables Management. She began her career in 1978 with FCA International LTD (now NCO Group), where she progressed to Vice President and Director of US Local Sales. Ms. Sorgel is actively involved in many organizations that support her institutional clients. For the college and university marketplace, she has served on the Steering Committee for the Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organizations (COHEAO), is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), the Midwest Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA), the Illinois Association of Financial aid Administrators and the Illinois Bursars Organization (IBO), where she currently serves as Secretary. She is also a founding member of the Illinois Community College Organization (ICCO). For healthcare, Ms. Sorgel currently serves as a Board Member for First Illinois Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), where she previously served on the Membership Committee, Accounts Receivable Committee and Co-Chaired the Education Committee. She is also a member of American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM). Ms. Sorgel has been listed in “Who’s Who in American Women” since 1987 and has spoken at Professional Development Group (2005), Illinois Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (2005) and Circle of Commitment (2006) among other engagements. |
